The actuator is generally constructed as a unit so as to exhibit a flexibility which is large enough to obtain no resonance phenomenon even under a maximum load. However, it requires an increase in the size of the fluid-filled elastic body in order to increase the stiffness thereof and consequently tends to cause enlargement of the whole device. Further, the hydraulic pressure cannot be increased because of the fluid resistance, and, as a result, the limit of the size is eventually reached.
