The teams finishing top four in the regular season will be determined based on a system of weighted rankings with a top-down approach. This weighting system will be calculated according to goal difference from results in the past four seasons.

The UCL group winners will be automatically through to the round of 16, with the remaining two spots in the round of 16 to be decided based on the rankings of the teams involved in the group stage. Teams finishing fifth and sixth in their groups will have to play against one of the top four teams in the league table, whilst the teams finishing fourth and third will have to play against one of the teams finishing fifth and sixth.
