I don’t know if its fair to say its “truly a buyout,” but that’s what it looks like. Apparently, the deal got done quickly. What has happened? Should Enron pay or should Dynegy pay? Do we have any assets that should be removed from Enron and placed in some separate entity?

I’m dealing with the following surface integral for the logarithmic potential $f(x,y,z)=\ln(x^2+y^2+z^2)$ which is then integrated over the unit sphere:

Is there an analytical way to evaluate this?

The function is
$$f(x,y,z)=\ln\left(\frac{x^2+y^2+z^2}{2}\right)$$
The integral:
$$I=\iint\limits_{x^2+y^2+z^2=1}f(x,y,z)dS$$
which in your case is
$$I=\int\int\int\ln(x^2+y^2+z^2)\cdot\frac{x^2+y^2+z^2}{2}$$
I am assuming that you have a good understanding of the triple integral, otherwise there are plenty of other answers that can also solve the problem.
