TinyCD is a free and quite possibly one of the smallest Windows CD players in existence. This is intended to be a highly simple, no-frills CD player. If you want a more sophisticated one, there are plenty out there that will mow the lawn, walk the dog, play chess, and trade stock on the Nasdaq and the NYSE. But if you want a simple, easy-to-use player, this is for you.
To play a CD, open the program, put in a CD, and hit the green “Play” button. That’s it. Nothing more.

For those of you who don’t know anything about computers, here’s what you need to know:
TinyCD works with any (uncompressed) CD. It will play ANY CD, but it only displays the first 100 seconds of the CD on the screen. You cannot specify a custom CD length. To get more than that, you must use the full-blown CD player applications.
You cannot pause the CD on TinyCD. You must hit stop.
You cannot insert CD’s on TinyCD. If you want to change the current track you must use the next track button. You cannot go back.
You cannot skip a CD track. You must go back to the previous track.
You cannot exit the program. You must close it with the X in the top corner.
You cannot change the system volume. You will have to adjust it manually.
You cannot change the size of the font. You have to manually adjust it.
You cannot adjust the color of the text.
Ease of Use:
This game is very simple. I can’t help but feel like this is how real CD players got started. You put the CD in, the blinking light comes on, the time display comes up (in red or yellow), you hit play, it blinks the light, the position display comes up, you hit play or pause or stop, you adjust the volume and turn on the CD. If it’s stuck, it stops the CD. In most cases you hit stop a couple of times and the CD will start up again. After the program finishes, you hit the X in the upper right hand corner to close the program.
Features:
CD Players are not designed to be easilly used. They have a variety of features that make them more useful, but some of the features are designed to make you feel like you’re using a real CD player. The only feature TinyCD is designed to do is play CDs. The rest is up to you.

My tester has tested TinyCD and included an mp3.mp3 file. It installs without problems, and his audio driver was selected automatically.

Minor updates and improvements can be made to TinyCD. For example, I can improve error handling.
CD-ROMs with protected digital copy content that were produced after 01-01-2004 can’t be played with TinyCD.
TinyCD 0.7 has a floppy file selector which I’m not using.
TinyCD 0.7 has at least 128 megabytes of music. Based on my test, the smallest valid CD I could test TinyCD on was “Sleeping Beauty” by Disney. On this CD it only lists 38 songs.
Note: Although TinyCD has a 27-minute sound, it displays a 48-minute CD.
You will need a good quality.wav and.mp3 player with digital support.
