There are some times that TypeScript hurts your development time instead of helping. If your using TypeScript and jQuery UI then the beauty of TypeScript is you don’t really care if a widget works or not, you can still use it. The issue is when you need something exactly the way it is created and you don’t have any control to change it. This could be a true issue if you have a boss who is tired of swapping out different jQuery UI components because of one not quite work in his app because he doesn’t want to bother changing it’s code. But the reality is you can fix this very easily. If you have a set of objects with the same common functions and structure you can create a generic object with those functions on it instead of hard coding it. It works the same way with jQuery UI.
