· To restart the plugin, click “Restart”.
· To uninstall the plugin, click “Uninstall”.
· To enable plugins, click “Restore Defaults”.
· To get help on the plugin, click “Help”.
· To get help on Notepad++, click “About Notepad++”.

It provides a more efficient programming API for XBrackets and supports many new programming languages and editors.
The concept behind XBrackets API is built upon the idea that programmers are too lazy to create their own bracketing code, a dozen lines of code can be replaced by an XBrackets API call. XBrackets API is light-weight, easier to use and also has higher performance.

XBrackets API 0.2.0 is the first release of the new programming API for XBrackets.
(The previous version 0.1 was only designed for Perl and XBrackets).
The plugin is tested with many Programming languages.

You can use symbols (double brackets) in autocomplete mode but they will be inserted after the previous one. This is useful when you want to autocomplete sequences of expressions. For instance:
( (left bracket)
(>) -> (right bracket)

This is a good addon if you need to automatize some complex operations, but beware: this plugin requires some knowledge of regular expressions. So it will require more time to learn how to use it and program it to do things for you.

I have one question. Is there any way for me to turn off the Smart completiton for closing brackets? I find it a bit annoying when it closes something immediately as soon as it’s typed.

What’s New in the XBrackets Lite?

XBrackets Lite is a simple Notepad++ plug in for autocompleting the content of code blocks. The plugin is based on the principle of autocomplete and inserts automatically corresponding right brackets when the left bracket is typed.
However, XBrackets Lite is not a pure autocomplete solution. The plugin completizes only string literal blocks. Autocompleting the code should be a complex process.
For example, the following text:
“The “hello” world”
Would be formatted as:
“The hello world”
Therefore, the autocomplete plugin has been configured to complete the string literal blocks.
XBrackets Lite Features:
· XBrackets Lite works with blocks, substrings and regex expressions.
· Requires the user to select where the auto-completed string appears.
· Right/left bracket can be inserted automatically.
· Two types of completion:
-> autocomplete from current line to next line
-> autocomplete from current line to previous line
· Inserted (corresponding right) brackets are highlighted in brackets.
· The plugin does not insert the brackets automatically. The user has to click on the corresponding dropdown arrow to insert the brackets.
· The plugin configures the right brackets and left parentheses correctly.
