Gameplay
Players assume the role of a character called a ‘Portal Lord’, who must protect a Portal from all kinds of monsters, and especially the ‘Gigantic Monsters’ who attack once the Portal is opened. Players who pass through the Portal become ‘Elden Lords’ who are able to use magical power to their advantage.
The game features cross-platform play with all available platforms, as well as accessibility through a wide range of player skins, and customisable key bindings.
Elden Ring, unlike most other games, has been described as a ‘browser-based action RPG’. Players are given a customizable character called a ‘Portal Lord’ and are tasked with protecting a portal from monsters of every ilk, many of whom are gigantic, and even some who are unstoppable. Like all other games, the player level is determined by time of passage through the portal. The more time you spend in the portal, the more experience points you gain. Every time you die, you need to return to the portal to regain health. There are three difficulty levels, Easy, Normal, and Hardcore. The last two are accessible in all the later chapters of the game.
