    YOONG! At the time of writing this article the Elder Scrolls Online came out and another edition of Elder Scrolls. This one however, really had something different to offer, that was the action RPG/dungeon crawler of Elder Scrolls. Not a new type of RPG, so much as a free roam with the concept of dungeons. It still left a lot to be desired but what it did do to its own stand-in with the thieves guild was a lot of fun.

    Before getting into the game, I’ll have to say that Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind was one of my favorite RPG’s. It was one of the first RPG’s I really got into, and from that very moment, I was hooked. It had everything that I liked in an RPG; blacksmithing, enchanting, the epic combat, and of course, the dungeons. Of course, it had its share of problems like inventory management and lack of customization. What Elder Scrolls: Morrowind really needed was a game engine that was more refined and had more features.

    When the game came out, it was a very different game from its predecessors. First off, you can gain the main features of the game such as the battle system and the graphical aspects in the free roam, but it had still a lot to work on. I’ll be skipping most of the technical stuff but to keep it more to the point, the menus were very similar to Morrowind but a lot improved as well as the overall presentation.

    On to the story, there are two main story options and in order to move on you have to choose one to play. The Arisen and the Warden. In order to gain these two races you need to complete four side quests. When choosing one, you unlock side quests, the main story, and make your way into the game. Once you enter the main story, you can freely roam around but you are not required to. If you haven’t done a dungeon, you can still roam around in these areas to gain experience and items, then if you want, you can head back to the town to complete the remaining quests. You can still do missions in the towns and complete your side quests, but eventually it’s your choice if you want to go back to the town.

    I chose the Warden and after a good amount of side quests, got to the point where I wanted to go into the main story. When I did, I was disappointed to find out that most
