Samson Entertainment, LLC was founded in 2005 by Michael Ausiello, who is now the editor-in-chief at The Wrap. Among its films, it has produced Dancing with the Stars, Dancing with the Stars: Juniors, and, most recently, Scream Queens.

The company has also been behind the success of the Dr. Seuss estate’s characters, such as the classics the Grinch and Horton, the Purple Cow, The Lorax, and The Grinch’s Gr8ful Gr8fest.

To this day, Ausiello is involved with the business side of the company. In December, he announced on Twitter that he was stepping down from his role as editor-in-chief at The Wrap, and an hour later he announced he was leaving television.
