The story mode, while it has a basic plot and gives very little background, does not pose very much of a problem, as this is just a mode with visual effects, or a mode where you just choose your character and go to town. The level design is good, but very simplistic, with very few unique levels. You fight against the Red Angel, a sexy luchadore who robs you, shoots you, and then gives you a clone to fight with for the next day. If you clear this, then you get an extra time token and are graded. This is a good level design, as you go from street to arena and you get to see your character go from a mundane clown to a gorgeous dancing luchadore. It also shows that you can speed things up by shooting more than one icon with your gun, so it’s a good level design. You can also buy skills that get unlocked as you play, so you can make your character more powerful. The arena levels are at times difficult, and even tedious, but luckily there is no limit to how many times you can play a level. Instead, when you run out of lives, you just get a select. If you wish to use the skills, you have to re-enter the level, which is a little bit of a hassle. There is also no respawning, so if you die, you have to start back at the last checkpoint. If you are a seasoned veteran of video games, then you are going to know how to use the abilities, so there’s no need to comment on that. If you are new to video games, and this is your first time experiencing this, then all you need to know is how to navigate the map, and when to use the abilities, and that’s it.
