What’s new:
Order of the Gatekeepers is a faction in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. It is the focus of Adam’s first quest, “Born of Man and Machine,” which leads to a missing high-technology implant called the Project. The Order of the Gatekeepers is the assassination of Majestic 12 and the implementation of this project into non-alien species.

The game portrays Order of the Gatekeepers as the main antagonist for the player’s character, Adam Jensen, and Phyllis Tickle, Adam’s contact in the Ark program. While not an official Deus Ex universe organization, this entity may have formed there, or the Order may be based in Trinity as well. As a comment to the video game, the Order has stated a desire to “derail the train of evolution” if humans use nuclear weapons, this is stated to be because of The Revelation and the Order’s belief that humanity will be destroyed before their threat is overcome.
For the first level, the Order is teaching Adam the importance of surveillance and surveillance technology. The next part of the mission is to acquire and create the Blue Flame Toxin. This is stored in Adam’s brain via the Pinch and the Phyllis implant.
The mission initiates the Ark scenario. The main objective is to find Ricochet and return the blue technology to Esme’s labs.
