The main reasons for not receiving genetic counseling were lack of time during the visit with the oncologist (42%), lack of insurance coverage for genetic counseling (28%), and lack of need for genetic counseling (20%). Among those who were offered genetic counseling, the major reasons for not receiving it were lack of insurance coverage for genetic counseling (40%) and lack of need for genetic counseling (40%).
