A note on space dogfights:
Dogfighting in space is a thing. It is a thing because of the limitations of space travel. These limitations are:
* You can’t change your direction in realtime, so unless you’re in a lunar Lander mode, your turnrate will be very slow.
* Space is big, so your visuals will suffer from a long distance.
* Space is empty, so you will constantly be shooting at other things that just happen to be a long way away.
These two major limitations mean that, almost by necessity, space is a very small, enclosed area. When you shoot at an enemy, you’ll almost certainly hit them. This means that when you engage in a dogfight with another space fighter, they will usually shoot back at you.
When this happens, it is known as dogfighting. The fun comes from watching your opponent disappear off the edge of the screen, or of your screen, as a result of a well-placed shot.
You can’t even see your opponent, so these battles are incredibly tough!
Hangar Mode and Universe
Flipside Genesis features a hangar that you can park your space fighter in. You can buy new ships and add new weapons and components to your ship. You can also manufacture new things, give you repair and upgrade your systems, and purchase upgrades for your shop.
You can also use your hangar to get some flight experience by taking a free test run. If you complete your mission, you will be able to choose another, and you will earn experience based on how well you complete it. You will also have to pay rent and repair costs, and can only park up to three ships.
You will also be able to travel to other universes, which are randomly generated versions of the universe you started in. For example, if you start in the Flipside Genesis universe, you will be able to travel to other Flipside Genesis universes. These universes will be different than the one you started in, but you can unlock them just like the one you started in.
Universe selection will be updated as the game develops, so you’ll have to keep an eye out for that to find new ones to visit.
Competitions
Flipside Genesis has a few competitions that are ongoing.
The main competition is a bounty Hunter contract, in which you will take on missions to gain credits. The more credits you earn, the better prizes you’ll get. You’ll compete

The bulk of the game development is over, and while we’ve got several systems in place to bring players into the game, we are in the process of consolidating a set of playable missions. We have a lot of exciting stuff planned for our release in March! The first addition is a fully moddable user interface (an in-game UI builder), so if you want to implement one of your own, go for it! This will allow you to implement a custom flight model that may be entirely different from the default one. We have plans to add a database of all possible missions, locations, and missions available to fly, so you will be able to discover all kinds of interesting things to do around the galaxy.
We’ll also be adding a full mission builder and text parser for all the mission files, so you’ll be able to read all the mission files in the game and use them for yourself.

I’m super excited about the upcoming release of this game and am willing to take bets on whether it will be the best game on steam by March.
Also, on a personal note I’m super excited to finally play this game after hearing about it for years.
I have been following the dev on twitter and will be eagerly awaiting it to release.

- First of all make sure you have installed properly the Flipside Genesis game on your computer.
- If you still can’t find the game inside “My Computer” on your hard drive, check in other drives or on other computers on your network.
If you’re on Windows 10, you can also press ALT and F10 keys at the same time and press ENTER.
If you’re on Windows 8 or 8.1, Press and Hold on the Windows icon on your taskbar and in the menu that appears, choose “Run”.
