Fragmented Player Input is a method for rendering a dynamic game. The game being displayed will intelligently “pull the player” into the game without them “kicking and screaming”.
When a player is in the game flow, it is possible to “pull” the player into the game to completely engage them in the game. This is one of the most important aspects of using Fragmental input.
Pulling the player into the game is extremely important because it gives the player a feeling of immersion. If the player wants to exit out of the game flow and “shake off” the game, they can do it and not become “demotivated” while wasting their time.
- A single “session” can have unlimited chunks of the game flow.

A single chunk will never exceed more than a minute of game time.

Each chunk is split into smaller chunks which display and interact during the In-Game Session.

Fragmental is inspired from “flow maps” animation systems to break down units into small fragments. The concept is not based on the fragment approach so don’t confuse that and thus the name Fragmental.

Falling asleep during the game flow has many positive side effects. It allows the player (if they so choose) to “feel” like they are playing the game as opposed to “not playing the game”.

Fragmental Torrent Download is a simple steampunk adventure game about a travelling circus that is out in the wild, under attack by a hostile robot army. The mechanics are simple and clever, in a few hours you will know what it is all about.
After the tutorial you are in the middle of the game and don’t have any clue on what to do. The gameplay is so weird and you never get to know what enemies you can and can’t kill. Some of them are so hard to see, that you can hardly kill them. This might be because of the blending of 2D platformers and the shooter mechanic. But what I like so much is the use of ammo and the entire shooting mechanic.

The future is not a constant. An institution of sorts, “The future” is a lens for viewing the present; a perspective that the present fits within. It is a way of telling what came from what and why it happened this way. The lens distorts the truth, however. I’m not suggesting that we can never ever know; most likely not. Distortion happens every time a lens is applied to the world, but a lens is precisely what we are.
The manifestation of a lens is a collection of generalizations over a set of observations. For many people, it has been built out of visual responses over decades. The lens’ product is typically a sense of understanding the world around them. This understanding is built from each observation, and is built on the external measurements of these observations. Our actual perception of the world therefore is our response to the same information through its lens. It becomes obvious, in as far as one admits to being aware, that this lens is not entirely true. For example, it might be that technology gives certain things such as current job security a higher value than other things such as work ethic and community organization…but there is a strong counter argument.
