How to fix mod_wsgi SSL verification errors
I am trying to set up a mod_wsgi Apache instance for my Django application running on DigitalOcean.
I have followed the instruction from this Digital Ocean tutorial.
Django runs great and I am able to connect to the application via the built-in Django admin panel.
However, when I access the application externally via the public IP address, I get the following error:
SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED
I believe that the problem has to do with the configuration of Apache, because it seems that the module mod_wsgi does not use the SSL certificates for the verification of the certificates:
