It can handle both 2D and 3D data, either in the model space or in the actual drawing. Most objects in the 3D model are editable (for example by using the modeling tools in AutoCAD R14 or older). Objects can be associated with other objects to form a component that can be edited with the other objects.
The user can change the level of detail of an object in the model space or the drawing. For example, the user can change the order of the points in a spline and see the results. The user can also use “snap to” to specify that the user wants to specify a midpoint
