but the reason we’re bringing this up is because we’d like to give a huge shout out to this fantastic little mini game – the aptly named train simulator story player – which is exactly that: a small, free game created by our friends at dovetail games, who have decided to turn their attention away from virtual reality titles and focus more on non-vr titles (such as train simulator) to ensure that the services they offer remain just as relevant, and fun, when the world is back to normal, and we can all go back to our regular lives.

but while we’re talking about the bakerloo line, what about the tube map? the real london underground map is not just a wonderful map, it’s also one of the most influential maps in the world – and for anyone who’s even a little bit interested in transport, it’s a must. however, you’re not going to find the original on the game disc, though we’re glad you’re getting the full game, because we’ve got the map that is right here, the one featured in train sim world 2 (and all train sim world titles), courtesy of the amazing london tube and london tube map. it’s not the prettiest thing in the world, but in terms of detail and quality, it’s one of the finest you’ll find online.
hi- i’m heading to london in about 3 weeks on a business trip. i will be staying in central london, so it’s not too far. i was planning to get a sim card, but i’m also looking at purchasing a smartwatch that will run my sim card and will allow me to sync with my phone. i wanted to see if this would be a good option for me.
the bakerloo line is my favourite. or at least, it was. that said, the sand patch grade is looking very, very tempting indeed. although perhaps it’s a little sad that the main addition of this new content is pretty much the bakerloo line. but then, that’s the whole point of the bakerloo, isn’t it? of london underground. of commuting. of a whole variety of things that have nothing to do with the humble london underground station itself. then again, i’m not a londoner, and i don’t really know what it’s like to commute, so i don’t really get it. i’m sure the tube is just an absolute nightmare that you’d die for, but it just seems to be a part of london that i haven’t had to experience yet. but with the sand patch grade, and the new overground line, i think i’m going to have to start doing just that. and that’s probably just as well, as there’s no way i’m ever going to drive anywhere in this game, if i’m being honest.
so, in summary, this has to be one of the better deals out there. there’s an impressive variety of scenarios, and a large number of trains to choose from, plus they’re all priced at a good price for the amount of content included. just be sure to get the download yourself, not a dodgy file you’ve been sent.
as you can see, it’s a fairly in-depth pack for £10. for that price, you get a huge amount of content, and some very well-designed stuff. at the very least, you can say that dovetail have tried to learn from their mistakes, and have been trying to make a better game. the overall package is much more in-depth than the ones before it, and the interface is a bit better as a result. and while it’s not perfect – there’s a few sections you could do without – this is certainly one of the best to come out of the subway.
