Mach4’s G-code works a little differently than the previous versions.
In Mach4, you need to calibrate your axes so that real-world measurements are the same as the measurements for your axes’ position.
Mach4 has a wizard that allows you to calculate the steps per unit for an axis. This is a manual operation, so you will need to use the existing steps per unit in the axis you wish to change.
Go to motor tuning to grab this number and copy it to the clipboard. Now go to the wizards menu and select wizard. Scroll through the wizards until you see StepsPerUnitCalculator wizard and accept that wizard.
A new dialog box will appear with fields that you can use to determine the new steps per unit for the desired axis. The incremental move button is available so you can test new values calculated for the steps per unit for the axis. Use the move distance along with the move velocity to incrementally move to determine move distances.
MEAGHAN: Both Mach3 and Mach4 have a conversational menu to feed in the type of material you are about to work on your CNC router machine. Once you select the material, the software will suggest recommended feeds and speeds depending on the operation you select. You can override the feed and speed rates originally programmed in the G-code to make little adjustments to your work.
MEAGHAN: Ill get straight to it. The Mach 4 has been a delight to run in. From the comfortable step-in feel to its smooth, responsive ride out on the roads, this shoe quickly made it to the top of my rotation. The upper is designed with heat pressed TPU embroidered yarns (sounds fancy, but its quite simple in design) and offers plenty of structure and support. Theres nice padding around the collar, and the flared-out heel design does its job of avoiding any Achilles rubbing, while also doubling as a pull tab.
