Autograss features realistic materials that captures the reflective quality of nature. Vegetation reflects the surrounding light to various degrees, depending on the thickness and complexity of the leaf structure. Each material is available in four variants: Translucent Transparent Phong Subsurface Scattering 2D Metal Roughness Surface rougness? Wallpaper Texture Displacement Absorption Absorption-Displacement Absorption-Texture Displacement Two new materials, a wood and brick material. Autograss supports textures from digital scans, photographs, animations and sculptures and uses them in create natural materials and materials from manmade surfaces. It also provides support for a variety of animation and lighting methods and allows for dynamic reflections off vegetation, water and even smoke.
Autograss is included in the Happy Digital’s digital assets bundling. It provides additional parameters to handle in detail a big variety of scenarios, with everything from indoor and outdoor scenaes, to floral and vegetal, to weathered, worn-out and other natural cases that a scenery designer might encounter in a more or less regular basis. For an affordable price you get more than 400 customizable materials, each one of them was hand-tuned to its corresponding and specific case. For example, “Long Grass” is a gold color grass with light as the main body color, yet transparent, and ends in a slight bit of a metallic sparkle, a touch of which is seen in the leaves. “Retro Grass” has a shape close to that of the banana grass in the real life, and its color is similar to that of the unripe leaves.
