4. the upcoming early betas of winrar v4.10 will contain all the updated features and bug fixes from v4.10:

unpack supporting zip archives in the unpack window (will be similar to 7-zip)
save or open files in archive root (the.rar extension will be hidden)
drag and drop zip files into winrar’s window
rearrange items in archive root with left/right keys
winrar 4.10 will support unicode-based character sets for localisation purposes
support winrar archive compression options: sfx, gzip, bzip2
enhanced context menu (right-click menu)
enhanced winrar’s next/back features
enhanced recovery actions (for individual files) in main window and in unpack window
enhanced unpack window (structure of zip files in unpack window)
enhanced bulk processing (compressing/uncompressing files and adding/removing folders and shortcuts to/from archive root)
improved support for windows 7 operating system
improved virus signature support (alternate signatures from virscan.zip files)
improved zip64 support for zip archives
improvements to the ‘unrar’ command-line
commands disabled for archives of no content (the -d switch)
support for zip64 archives
save and change unrar.dll date and time (the ‘update’ button in the ‘general tab’)
update winrar to 4.10 version automatically
new icon
new build number
