This is a simple and easy to use utility for installing an external battery icon into the RocketDock Notification Area.

The information displayed on the battery meter docklet is a simple representation of battery percentage with an icon representing the battery status.

The icon can be configured to show you an estimated time to empty or full battery in addition to percentage. You can also have your icon light up red if the battery is running low or your icon turn off if the battery is full.

If you click on the icon a context menu will appear that will allow you to run commands, switch to battery percentage, or enter the menu.

The icon can be dragged around the dock to move it in the dock, or it can be collapsed into a small square to save space.

The icon can also be hidden from the dock by placing it on a separate desktop that is below the dock. When you unhide the icon the icon will reappear on the dock, and it will be shown in the location where it was previously.

Your icon can be moved from your desktop to the dock as well. The icon will be moved to the dock, but it will be placed in the dock regardless of where it was previously.

If you have the icon on the desktop, the icon can be collapsed to save space.

If your icon is collapsed and you move it from your desktop to the dock, it will be moved to the dock and will appear on the dock in the location where it was previously. If you have the icon on your desktop when you hide it, it will be hidden from the dock.

Each time you add another icon, the last icon you added is used as the base for your icon. The last icon you added is automatically changed to an icon of your choosing.

Changing your icon to something different is as simple as changing the Icon tag in your icon tag file (see the next section). This only changes the icon shown on the dock, not the one that will actually be used to represent your icon.

The icon in this example is an ugly, 3D render of a dollar sign. Notice how it is above the dock but it will only be used as a battery icon. If you remove the dollar sign, a battery icon will be used instead.
