What’s New in the HoneyPorts?

I have never used this software, but I am interested in this software. As a side note I have used Port Zero and Avast to block any port scans. I use my phone to receive the notifications. I think this is overkill, but it does save my hard drive if the scanner is using a port that is useful for me.

Would be useful to have a timer running to detect any port scans, and then shut off the honeypot.

I just got the most recent version which I had not seen before. I installed it and ran the scheduler. The scheduler seemed to run fine and created a new fake port every 30 minutes. When I went to do a “get network events” the scheduler was not listed under the list of options. I have an old version which was used for a long time and I have not had any problems. I can not seem to get this version to run and be able to use it to create fake ports. Please help.
