Three.js object gets misplaced in the scene

In this example you can see that the boxes get placed correctly in the scene, but the truss itself gets misplaced in the scene. I am using three.js version 64. I believe this has something to do with the quad.rotation.y=PI/2 problem, but I’m not sure what to change. If I switch the quads position from scene to world, the boxes are still in the scene but the truss object is misplaced again.
