It was only last week that my computer wouldn’t come out of sleep mode that I discovered all the while that my motherboard, assembled in March 2019, did not, in fact, come with Windows 10 on it. For a while I couldn’t figure out why my computer wouldn’t come out of sleep mode – it absolutely would sleep fine, with no driver problems, even with the latest BIOS. My wife’s computer still works fine, which rather confirms the faulty hardware problem.
While I have no driver for the device, and haven’t used the Device Manager before, I have seen other posts that suggest uninstalling and/or removing device drivers created by your motherboard manufacturer that you don’t need, and adding your new drivers from the vendor’s website. If you need to troubleshoot this, uninstall the old driver (by clicking on the X), and then restart the computer. In Device Manager, you will see the newly installed driver (if it is new to you) under the device manager. You can then install the driver from a.inf (provided from the company) file.
Recently installed a new power supply at home after buying one for work and it’s been a glaring annoyance that the specific motherboard I bought for this has the problem. Always seems to happen when I use the power supply. I went into the BIOS and set the voltage to be higher, like mine was before and it seemed to help somewhat. My internal case fan did stop working after a reset, thought that was odd.
