A 7 Days Umrah Package from Pakistan Was Perfect for Me
My name is Tariq. I own a small manufacturing business. I work six days a week. Taking time off is hard. But I had been wanting to perform Umrah for years. Finally, I decided to go. I could only take one week off. I searched for a 7 days Umrah package from Pakistan. I found one that fit my schedule and my budget. Here is my experience.
Why a 7 Days Umrah Package Worked for Me
A longer package would have been more relaxing. But I could not afford the time away from my business. A 7 days Umrah package gave me enough time to perform Umrah, pray in Madinah and Makkah, and return home without rushing too much. The typical itinerary for a 7 days Umrah package from Pakistan is three nights in Madinah and three nights in Makkah, then fly back.
I visited four travel agencies offering 7 days Umrah packages from Lahore. The prices ranged from one hundred eighty thousand to three hundred thousand rupees per person. The difference was in the flights, the hotels, and the included meals. I chose a mid range package.
What My 7 Days Umrah Package Included
My 7 days Umrah package from Pakistan cost two hundred twenty thousand rupees. That included a direct flight from Lahore to Madinah, a hotel in Madinah that was a seven minute walk from the Prophet’s Mosque, a hotel in Makkah that was a five minute walk from the Haram, all ground transport, visa fees, and breakfast every day. It did not include lunch, dinner, or personal shopping.
The direct flight was important. A connecting flight with a long layover would have wasted one of my precious seven days. The hotels close to the Haram were also important. I did not want to waste time and energy walking long distances.
The Journey
We flew from Lahore to Madinah directly. The flight was comfortable. We spent three nights in Madinah. Praying at the Prophet’s Mosque was deeply moving. Then we took a bus to Makkah, about five hours. We spent four nights in Makkah. We performed Umrah the first night we arrived. The rest of the days we spent in prayer and reflection. The 7 days Umrah package was short, but it was intense. I did not waste a single day.
On the seventh day, we flew back to Lahore. I went back to work the next day. I was tired but spiritually refreshed. The short duration forced me to focus. I did not have time to shop or sightsee unnecessarily. I was there for worship, and that is exactly what I did.
My Advice
If you are a busy professional with limited leave, a 7 days Umrah package is perfect for you. But do not choose the cheapest one. A very cheap 7 days Umrah package from Pakistan will have bad flight timings, far hotels, and hidden charges. Spend a little more for direct flights and hotels close to the Haram. Your knees and your soul will thank you.
Also, pack light. You do not need ten pairs of shoes for seven days. Take comfortable Ihram and casual clothes. Take a small backpack for your essentials. And most importantly, go with the intention of worship, not vacation. A 7 days Umrah package is short, so every moment counts. Make the most of it. I did, and it was one of the best weeks of my life. I came back a different man. More patient. More grateful. More at peace. May Allah accept our Umrah.
