Gameplay

Ah, I love opening an RPG with a new story mode. The story mode of the original Elden Ring, which I also played on PC, was super awesome, I loved it. At the beginning of the game, you have to control the main character, named Tarnished, and you travel around, fighting monsters and leveling up. There is lots of dialogue and well-written content, and you can interact with NPCs and explore the world and dungeons. I really enjoyed it. After the introductory quests, you can open the main story. It starts with a cutscene, I understand it is meant for new players. Then, you can get the hints of the story from NPC’s. After that, it is a bit hard to understand what is going on. Don’t worry, the action will kick in again soon.

In any case, the story is very good. I am impressed with the graphical content, it is clear and easy to distinguish enemies. You can change camera’s view freely, to see the surroundings clearly.

I liked the full-three-dimensional world. I got lost a few times, but never really felt lost. I did get a bit nervous when I died, however, I think it is just a bug. I died at a moment when an NPC was right in front of me. I quickly tried to pick up the item and move away from the NPC, so I could respawn again.

Gameplay-wise, the game is an easy role-playing game. It is a little bit bit RPG and not quite Action RPG, it has both styles. I’m not a fan of leveling-up and preparing your equipment, as it’s time consuming. There is no such thing as an automatic defense or attack skill on screen. You can turn on the auto-turn, and move away from the enemies. After that, you have to manually swing the weapon in your hand. When you block the enemy’s attack, the screen will turn red, to indicate that there is a new attack coming. After blocking, you have to manually attack the enemies to attack their current hp
