Project, Parameter, and Drafting:
New Parameter Assistant feature enables you to use parameters to quickly build a model by setting options, defining constraints and nesting parts.
Select the drawing you want to use to generate your model, then choose Parameter Assistant.
When the modeling feature opens, you can select the type of parameter you want to build.
You can select a single parameter to define it’s properties, or you can build a parameter stack.
You can add an optional text description for the parameter, and specify the property name.
Use the button in the top right corner of the feature window to define your parameter.
An optional canvas definition can be used to define how the parameter is added to a model.
You can choose to copy the parameter to the model or link it to a defined project entity.
When a parameter is complete, a button appears in the feature window, allowing you to preview or generate the model.
You can also select an action for the generated model and a designer can choose to review, save, or open the model.
You can now import the parameter and properties data generated from previous model drafts. (video: 4:25 min.)
The Modeling window, Parameter Assist feature, and Drafting window now support RTTP.
Drawing and Editing:
The Update tool enables you to set a delay before the drawing is updated. This is useful if you are creating a model that will take a long time to build, and you need to monitor the progress of the feature.
You can now add a stop command to a line by pressing Shift+[.
You can insert a picture of your model by pressing F11 while the toolbox is active.
Note: For PCs, this only works when you are connected to a network.
You can select multiple parts and features within a drawing or model.
Annotations:
You can now annotate a drawing with geometric features. You can define the position of the annotation relative to a point or a face. (video: 5:25 min.)
The Annotation Manager tool now allows you to choose the type of annotation you want to generate. You can add annotations to the base feature, join annotations, and create a view.
You can now edit and control the viewing distance of the annotation.
