We tested this hypothesis in three experiments. In all experiments, the perception of motion was measured in subjects when the temporal binding of two streams was varied by presenting random-dot stimuli in two saccadic eye movements that were temporally separated by an exposure interval. In experiment 1, the spatial position of the dots was varied in depth (1-10 degrees) or in azimuth, and in experiment 2, the dots were presented in only one of the saccades in a
