CSS: Circle to gradually change from round to square
Basically, I am trying to do a rotating logo on a website, but I cannot do it properly.
What I want to do is a circle that slowly becomes a square. Can anyone help me with this?
It needs to be in CSS, not SVG, and only run on Chrome.

In CSS3 we can use the border-radius property of div with a very small value to fake a gradual square to circle transition.
The only drawback of this technique is that the circular pixellated effect is small. I’ve found it to be rather reasonable though, especially in environments that do not provide the gradient natively (and don’t require it).

And in CSS3:
#div {
border-radius: 1.5rem;
padding:.5rem;
background-color: #000;
background-image: -webkit-radial-gradient(circle, #999, #999);
background-image: radial-gradient(circle at 10px 10px, #999, #999);
background-image: -moz-radial-gradient(circle at 10px 10px, #999, #999);
background-image: -o-radial-gradient(circle at 10px 10px, #999, #999);
}
Here’s another Codepen Demo if you want to see a gradual circle-to-square transition without using CSS3.
Here’s what it looks like in a CSS gradient only environment.
I’ve also included this answer for posterity.

Maybe you can use CSS background-size property :
background-size:50% 50%;
background-position:center;
