Silambarasan’s character Chakrinde is voiced by the original Chakrinde, Rupanbhai (who also voiced the Gujarati dubbed version of the same film) has been re-voiced by Panjit Kumar. Additionally, Shankar Mahadevan, whose voice was dubbed by an uncredited male voice, had his voice re-recorded by N. Ramani.
In the Gujarati dubbed version, actor Kadambari Achrekar plays the character of Chakrinde.
The dubbed version is available on YouTube in two parts, with the first part of the dub available in 2010 and the second part in 2014.
Due to copyright issues, the Hindi dub of the film is not available on Google Play or iTunes, and a DVD of the Hindi dub is only available from NDTV India’s home entertainment service, NDTV Home. This film is the first of three planned re-dubbed Hindi versions of the film, the second of which is Dabangg 2. The third Hindi dub for the film, which is going to be titled ‘Dabangg 3’ is a part of the second season of the popular show Kasturi which has been broadcast on India’s Zee TV channel.’
