I’m not a heavy Photoshop user (3D stuff mostly). Now, you will try to correct it in Photoshop. Shade this corner of the photo flat as best you can. Then you can notice, if you have Windows Explorer, that Photoshop has preserved the original object in the corner of the image even after you flat- shaded it.
I just upgraded to the CS5 version from the previous release. I have been using photoshop from the early C++ days to this day but my main focus of usage is photography. I prefer the older ways of doing things but for the most part CS5 has made things much easier and faster. My first impression is that the Library and Develop views are much more customizable. I also couldn’t wait to try some of their new features like the new Layers panel and Smart Sharpen. The Smart Sharpen has made the image much sharper but it took a lot of sharpening out of the Sharpen features in the Layer panel. The Smart Sharpen didn’t do a good job uncovering the usual camera infrared and other flaws that I find all over the edges of the image. I also like the Smart Blur feature in the Shadows panel. It takes a lot of control effort to apply and it doesn’t work every time. Just sayin’. I wasn’t too crazy about the new layer blending options. In general I would say the new features, while useful, aren’t necessary. The thing I liked the most, was the ability to save as PNG. There is no doubt about Adobe’s support for their products and especially with Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 5 this was their best release ever. Great job Adobe!!!!!
