This is a command line tool that will backup your Google contacts.
The application aims to export the following data for each contact (and to export a backup in a “contacts.zip” file):
Your contact’s name
Phone numbers
Email addresses
Although I’ve not yet gotten into the actual how of this, the sources are available here.

You can use a google account to import contacts.
Log in to the account you want to import from. You must have at least one account if you want to import all the contacts from the account.
Go to
Click the Import Contacts button.
Select the contacts you want to import.
If the contacts you want to import are contained in an Email, click Move to Email Folder. Otherwise, click Move to Gmail Folder.
Import the contacts.
You can export contacts in a csv file or a zip file

Hexagon lakes are isolated subglacial lakes in the permafrost regions of northern Eurasia. They are circular, with a diameter of approximately 5.5 kilometres, and typically present in a circular depression, consisting of an inner and an outer ring of low-relief (only up to 10 metres high) glacial deposits. The centre of the lake is often tens to hundreds of metres below the surface of the surrounding permafrost. Hexagon lakes are unique in that they possess a complete ring of evaporites, formed by the brine minerals diopside and gahnite, which develop over time into a compact solid wall. Conventional images of the surface of these lakes show dry depressions, but recent studies using satellite radar images have revealed depressions with lakes in the center. Here we report a complete ring of shallow lakes in the centre of an approximately 6-kilometre-diameter hexagon lake, found in the Barabash Range, the northern part of the Republic of Karelia, Russia. Isotopic and geochemical analyses indicate a brine source 6-8 kilometres below the surface, possibly related to the Variscan Orogeny. The ring of shallow brine lakes has formed mainly during the Holocene, when temperatures above ground were higher than modern temperatures.Standing Committees

gcontacts-backup is a project that aims to provide a command line tool that will easily backup your Google contacts.
The application currently exports the following data for each contact: full name, phone numbers, email addresses.
Usage example: run.bat -u john.doe@gmail.com -p pass -d c:\test
So it’s just a backup function.

You can convert it to a GUI and get a nice popup dialog to save the contacts to a file and also save them to a CSV file.
Here is how the conversion can be done:
