    Scores End-of-Round One Victory

    CALGARY, AB — The Calgary Hoopsters edged the Brighouse Badgers in a hard-fought competition at the Wallace Rink on Saturday night. The game ended in an exciting 5-4 shootout at the end of the first round. This is a great victory for the Hoops as they improve to 5-4 on the season.

    Round 2 takes place January 2nd as Wellspring Warriors, Humber Hawks, Calgary Hoopsters and Brighouse Badgers go at it in Head-to-Head night.

    DALLAS, CREE – The Calgary Hoopsters were up against it in a tough situation early on in the game. They had dropped their opening game of the tour to the Brighouse Badgers earlier on Saturday night. Edmonton had beaten Colomthona in a late game to post a 2-1 scoreline on their first day. As a result Calgary were in the middle of the pack sitting in third place with a 3-2-0 record.

    Stacy Yon had a choice to make going into this game. She picked to leave her younger sister, Whitney Yon on the bench and come in for her first substitute appearance. It was now Stacy Yon who was battling the Brighouse Badgers in defence.

    Ultimate Xtrfy® has been getting people to ask “why do we always have to change the rules?”
    In all of our games, we have always tried to maximize the depth and breadth of gameplay and even though we might have seen the same tired old tactics a million times, we do the best we can to make sure that each round is a new challenge.
    In Alien Arena, we’ve made a number of changes to tackle the problem of “to be or not to be” against a Vigor team, where players must make quick and decisive decisions that could end in their demise. Among the changes are “Vigor Options” which give players a number of fixed skills at different levels to better fit their playstyle, and a fixed experience/respawn timer to eliminate the need for some players to build an army before they can compete.
    There are also numerous balancing changes across the levels, as well as a few monster changes that should make for a more competitive format.
