mega man legends 3: a battle of the heroes (wii) – – we got a third mega man legends game, though it was the third in the trilogy, as the second game was really just a prelude to this one. this game focuses more on the team battle and personal story though, which is great for this series. the gameplay is simple, but it really makes up for it in the levels and plot.
mega man legends 4: a power up!/revenge of the x-creatures (wii) – – the fourth, and final mega man legends game. this game we got as a wiiware title, and that includes great graphics and gameplay. the game focuses more on the power battles as opposed to the main plot, which is good, as it had been kind of a let down. we got some beautiful environments, nice music, and a team battle that is great fun.
mega man x2 (playstation/playstation 2) – – this is one of the 2nd mega man x games, and it’s a pretty big improvement. the gameplay is excellent, and the game has a good number of customisation options. the story picks up after the first, with the x-men as villains and business. there’s also a sequel to this game called mega man x3.
not a release made by me, but another rescue for mugen community as i did with luvly angel’s chars. calamix was a controversial figure in mugen history, but his contribution to the community with his megaman chars is undeniable. his last public release was this fullgame with megaman arcade chars from those 2 games (power battle and power fighters), as well original adaptations from other mm games, which were unable to use because the game is moleboxed..
it’s the ultimate culmination of a megaman struggle that goes back to the days when people realized that giving a kick to a dash roller wasn’t the best thing ever. unlike mega man 2, megaman the calamix power fighte isn’t telling mega man to be a dick, and it isn’t making the gameplay break, and it’s not trying to draw a moral in the exact same way that mega man 2 is. m2 and the calamix both have their flaws, but they share a common goal – to give us an effective and engrossing mega man experience. while the mvc characters are completists, the only character that is decent to be playing in both games is zero. as much as it sucks that you can’t play mvc characters and the like in mega man 2, it’s no less necessary. this is mvc, which is a game for the hardcore masochists like myself.
and don’t forget, if you want to play more on this system, you’ll want to find the hidden codes to play games like sonic, castlevania, and more. it’s pretty much in the border of 2nd base and the front left where you’ll find the code. i’ll cover how to do that at the end of this guide.
