Fantastic game! I played it for a bit and I liked it a lot, but the only thing I felt was lacking is the card-matching ability, due to the fact the cards are rarely turned over.
The dialogues themselves are a bit flat and somewhat limited, but the way they interplay with the gameplay makes up for that.
The thing I really enjoyed is that you have the cards by hand. There isn’t a menu that creates a text link for you like a lot of other interactive novels, so you’re pretty much stuck with what the game gives you.
I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone in the mood for a quick, cute read.

I love it.
This is most definitely one of the best interacives I have ever played. I didn’t know what to expect, but this game surprised me. It was a little sweet at times, and took me into the mind of the writer. It was very well written, and I can’t wait for the part where you pick up the cards and play with your own hand.
There are some things that I didn’t think would be nearly as good as they were. But it was just as I thought.
I loved the writing and the writing style. I loved the depictions of the text and the characters. I especially loved the way that they shared the writing of the dialogue with the player. It made me feel like the writer was really talking to me, and I found it made the words I was reading the more beautiful.
I loved the graphic style. I was expecting to be disappointed, but I wasn’t. It was perfect for the style of writing.
The card-matching was a little frustrating to me, but it was a little hard to explain to someone.
The best part of this game is that it puts a human being into the writer
Dialogue: A Writer’s Story Features Key:
- From the ground up, this build of the game was made with inspiration
taken from Ludum Dare,
a website dedicated to the concept of creating a game in only 48
hours. As a result, the game is a relentless explorer of the
boundary of what can be achieved in such a short amount of time. The game only
has around 150 (~8 per level) unique dialogue options with two levels of dialogue
upscaling from around 100 to 200 for each language; all generated from a simple
character generator and with the very minimum effort for the players. Thus the
game is very simple and user friendly, and quite often offers the best option in a
situation. - One of the very first Unity games I ever made, and my first fully original game
that I plan to continue with.
I made the choice to make the game in Unity
while it was already widely popular and inexpensive, and thus while the
opportunities were larger than ever. This philosophy subsequently is what
lead me to make a game in Unity; not just for the sake of making it in
Unity. However, even if the title had been ‘Unity SPY’ I would still have had the
same intentions. Unity was the method of choice for the project, but the content and
content structure are more important than the method that was used to build them.
Dialogue: A Writer’s Story Crack + [Mac/Win]
Philip Dow, heretofore known as “nice guy writer” or “game writer wannabe” is fast on his way to becoming the major new voice in interactive media, with the launch of Dialogue: A Writer’s Story, his first full-length game. Upon its release at the start of 2016, the game has become a phenomenon, spawning a tireless fan base and appearing on numerous best-of lists.
The narrative of Dialogue: A Writer’s Story is a window into the creative process of its author, as told in the story of the game itself. While it is an interactive story in the broad sense, it is also clearly a hybrid of interactive fiction and video game, and is available for free on various platforms. Throughout its approximately three-hour story, you will progress through a series of dialogues with various characters in the game world, while the player is encouraged to read, think, and interact with both the dialogue and the more freeform visual environments.
The game, developed by Spanish indie studios Utopian Dimensions and Ciro of App Studios, follows the story of a young writer, Philip Dow (with the last name intentionally changed in the game), as he accompanies his future wife on a trip to her childhood home to visit her estranged family. During the visit, Philip learns of a number of family secrets and personal traumas that he is struggling to come to terms with. Along the way, he befriends a variety of characters, including the teenage daughter of the family for whom the visit was initially planned. However, as the game progresses, the player learns that not all of the secrets are what they seem, and that the events that unfold are in fact key points in a much larger web of events, affecting all those involved.
As you read the story, you control Philip through a number of discrete story moments, walking him through the experience one step at a time. In addition to the varied dialogue options available at each point, the player can explore environments, and even enhance them by reading the objects in the environment.

Storyline
Thomas Quillen plays a young man who gets addicted to heroin in his native Montreal. After spending years in the suburbs in search of a “fab job,” he tries his luck in the big city. He finds the job in a video store. His supervisor is the owner, Kelly Ryan, who he finds he likes. They live on the same block. But after an incident where he blacked out in the street and later a betting friend dies, Quillen is left with only one solution to his problems: living with Kelly Ryan. Written by

Tom Quillen’s portrait of a heroin addict is the best contemporary film about this problem that I’ve seen. It is so honest and truthful that you will almost believe that Thomas Quillen’s story was in fact the story of his own life. The film is a moving portrayal of an interesting life while never being didactic or idealizing.
This is the only “prosperity gospel” film that I’ve seen. The portrayal of Thomas’ origins and upbringing are completely true to the sermons of this fundamentalist movement. It is clearly not a Hollywood production, but it is candid and honest, and there is a lot about the lives of street youth that I hadn’t heard at all.
The pace is slow, almost documentary-like, but it doesn’t interfere with the content, and the pace doesn’t seem rushed. The camera work and acting are very natural. I only wished that the music was a little more forceful and noisy. But this is consistent with the film’s theme and tone.
The only weak link is the ending. It is somewhat too abrupt and incomplete for my tastes. But the film as a whole is a very honest and convincing portrayal of a life that is unfortunately common in the urban areas of North America.
